When you have ever been on a walk with your dog, you have no doubt seen that it spends rather more time sniffing the ground and lampposts and even loose leaves than actually walking. This sniffing continuously may seem to be a bother to most dog owners, but as a matter of fact, it is regular and a significant aspect of being a dog.
