1. Bullet Ant
The bullet ant is known for delivering one of the most painful stings among all other insects. This species is native to South America and is commonly called the "24-hour ant", referring to the typical duration of pain after being stung. Although the pain is severe, the stings are not fatal and do not result in permanent injury.
2. Black Widow Spider
The black widow spider is known for its painful and toxic bite. Symptoms from a female's bite can range from minor to severe pain, breathing issues, high blood pressure, muscle weakness, nausea, and for pregnant women, contractions and early labour. Male bites are less dangerous due to lower venom levels.
3. Stingrays
Stingrays are usually harmless unless threatened. Their venomous tail barbs can injure people who step on them. Symptoms from a sting may appear within 6–48 hours and rarely cause death but can include issues like breathing difficulty, sweating, cramps, bleeding, seizures, and chest pain. To avoid stings, be sure to shuffle your feet in shallow water so stingrays notice your presence.

Box jellyfish are considered to be one of the deadliest sea creatures alive and have been the reason behind several anonymous deaths of swimmers in various parts of the world. It has 24 eyes and is capable of killing a human within minutes of being stung. They produce toxins that are incredibly high in concentration that strike at the heart, nervous system and even skin cells. Death may occur rapidly, as swimmers can experience shock, drown, or suffer heart failure before reaching shore.

Pit vipers are reptiles that account for most venomous snake bites each year, usually because they live close to areas inhabited by people. Bites from all species of pit viper can cause symptoms such as change in heart rate, difficulty in breathing, numbness near the bite and weakness or dizziness. It is important to seek treatment for the bite as soon as possible, as failure to do so could result in permanent tissue damage around the area.
What to do if someone is bitten or stung by a marine creature, snake, spider or insect?
