Rescue pit bull meets seals for the first time - her reaction says it all

A funny video currently making waves on Instagram has got many animal enthusiasts chuckling at seeing a rescue pup’s relatable look of surprise during a day out at the seaside. Uploaded by Instagram account @calypso.the.pit, featuring a Pit Bull mix named Cali encountering a group of seals for the very first time in her life – clearly, she’s not too pleased about her “relatives” just yet.

The video is filmed on a busy beach where there are dozens of seals relaxing by the shore. Cali’s dad puts her close to one of the railings as he lifts her up to give her a good view of the activities below. As she takes a look around, her face immediately betrayed her. While she is seemingly curious, the rescue dog seems really unsure of everything as she seems to be doubting everything she did that got her to that point.

However, instead of being comforted, Cali becomes more nervous. She squirms in her dad’s arms, whines, and attempts to wriggle out of them as her mom continues to assuage her. The playful use of captioning illustrates that Cali has a range of reactions, including shock that these creatures are not only real, but also make noise, are wet, and are too close for comfort.
