Taylor Swift Made His Fiancé Travis Kelce’s Nieces Fall For Cats
Taylor Swift and her love for cats never cease to amaze. Mother to 3 furballs, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, Taylor’s connection to her cats is all things warm, beautiful, and adorable. Thus, one can imagine the surprise she felt when the nieces of Taylor’s fiance Travis Kelce, thought ‘cats were poisonous.’
When Taylor Swift took the great challenge
It came as a challenge, but Taylor made Jason’s daughters cat lovers. Speaking about the same at his podcast, Swift shared, "It was actually really a great challenge because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous," Swift explained. "And there’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag doll cat, who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby."
"And I mean, my favorite thing ever is when [Jason's daughter] Benny will come up to me and just go, ‘I find Benjamin. I find him," she mentioned before continuing, "And she’s just like over there, lying with him and petting him and holding him."
Why did Jason Kelce’s daughters believe that cats were poisonous?
Well, the answer is simple, because their dad told them so. Jason Kelce, brother of Travis Kelce, has four daughters, who at one time believed cats were filled with poison.
In September 2025, during one of his podcast episodes, Jason revealed, “You know what my latest plan to divert our family from getting a cat is? I just keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous,” Jason revealed.
When Travis asked why he did that, Jason jokingly replied, “So that they don't want cats and I don't have to deal with having a cat and make them terrified.”
However, his plan has failed as he has been convinced to have a barn cat. Though we can’t confirm or deny Taylor Swift’s part in the change, it is a fact that this update came only after Jason’s daughters were introduced to the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer’s cats.
