Hollywood Exes Who Share Custody of Their Pets

Brought together by Cupid, stayed friends because of their furry companions! An example of the same can be seen in several Hollywood relationships. Several Hollywood exes have remained on friendly terms while sharing custody of their pets.

Have a look:

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

In December 2018, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth tied the knot, and in August 2019, they announced their split. However, the former couple agreed to share the custody of their pets.

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy,” reported the US in the matter of Miley and Liam’s separation.

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula

After four years of marriage, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula parted ways in January 2026. A month later, on Watch What Happens Live, Batula mentioned, “We’re sharing the dogs right now.” While speaking about sharing the custody of their pets, Amanda said, “We each have one when we travel,n and we have both. They’re really enjoying being separated and coming back together. They’re littermates, their sisters, and they would get into little fights. They need time apart, and we’ll switch, and then they’ll go back together.”

Florence Pugh and Zach Braff

Not every split has to be bitter. An example of the same was set by Florence Pugh and Zach Braff. After being together for three years, Pugh in August 2022 confirmed her separation from Braff. They are still on amicable terms, sharing custody of dog Billie.

Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster

In July 2024, Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster finalized their divorce. At the time, a custody agreement was also set for their pets. As reported by US Weekly, Webster was supposed to have custody of their dog, Nova, and VanSanten was supposed to have visitation rights for a long time. Also, if VanSanten requests to keep Nova with her for more than three weeks, she must pay Webster USD 10,000 per day.
