‘Love Island USA’ host Ariana Madix, who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, is an animal lover at her core. She has been rescuing and bringing home animals since she was a young child. As she grew older, her love for animals and adopting rescued pets also grew. Interestingly, she now believes that adopting rescued animals brings more bliss and pure joy than finding any human connection.

While speaking to PEOPLE a couple of months back, Ariana shared, "When I was a kid, rescuing started from just taking animals home that would show up at the barn that I rode my horse at. And sometimes stray dogs would show up."

As she further continued with her story, she shared, "One time, we rescued — me and my little friend — we rescued these squirrels that fell out of a tree, and we would do all kinds of things like that."

Her own very first dog, Charlotte, came into her life when she was in college. She got her from her college’s humane society. On the other hand, she found her cat in a parking lot. And that’s not it, her dog, Mya, was rescued as well.

In addition to adopting rescued animals, Ariana said she is a “big fan of the cat distribution system.” For the context, the cat distribution system is a nickname animal lovers have given to chance encounters with stray cats in need. It is also used for animals in general and not restricted to just cats.

Madix also revealed that all the single people should stop swiping right and left on dating apps, skip the whole drama, and adopt a cat instead.
